I can hear the fire crackers from Chinese New Year in the International District. I forgot about the celebration this weekend. Today was a bit soggy for them, I suspect.
I remember 20 years ago, when I first moved here, I heard the same kind of crackle and pop coming from over there and told my friend, John, it sounded like firecrackers and he said that it was more likely gun shots (alas, at least that time, he was right).
