I just watched the beginning of today's Ellen's show and now I have 'shop JC Penney's' on my weekend todo list. Not sure what I need there but I am sure there is something. I had to look up to see where there is a store. Found it. Easy after-swim stop on Saturday. Hope it's horribly crowded with others who are grateful for their stance.

That is so frickin' wonderful! I keep thinking some day, all of this will look as antiquated as decreeing invalid marriage between two people of different races is now.

Yes, because I feel I've been there every step of the way.
BTW, my daughter's boyfriend is half black/half white, and we still, regrettably, hear about how it's not easy being anything but lily white in our town.
So far to go, but I'm confident we'll get there some day.

Did Ellen suggest Saturday as a day to go shop at Penney's and show our support? If it's a special thing that's being planned, I definitely will make a point to go -- otherwise, I don't really have a reason to go. I'll be visiting my mother over the weekend and her Penney's is farther away than my local one.

Oh, no!!! Actually, all she asked was that we appreciate JC Penney. She only explained that they supported her and she was so grateful. the shopping there was all my deal. the shopping there saturday was cause it's handy for me :)
