And the beat goes on...
Feb. 10th, 2012 10:53 amThe piles are being driven again today... I am grateful that at least most of the pile driving will be done before it is warm enough to need the door to the terrace open. It is loud enough with the door closed. Travis still runs and hides when it starts and stays hidden until they quit. Poor dear. As my grandmother used to say 'it just jungles his nerves'.
Betty's gotten fairly sanguine about it. She'll generally wake up when it starts but quickly goes back to sleep where she is. Undisturbed.

My replacement Keurig coffee maker is in the house. This time I tested it before I made the first cup. The 8 oz button pours right at 9 oz in 46 seconds. The 10 oz button pours right at 10 oz and takes 52 seconds.
Each time they send a replacement that replacement comes with a full year's warranty. Since, the first two didn't last a year, I'm thinking this one won't either. This could be a lifetime deal. I wonder, if it did die after its first birthday, would I buy another one? I do love it, so probably.
---
I've got a hankerin' for a Kindle Fire. I don't know why. I don't need one. I already have an Android tablet that I rarely use. And a Kindle. They do have some refurbished ones... I think I can resist.

I think I may do my swim a little earlier than usual today. I hate to admit it but I think I'm a little bored. Maybe I just need to get wet.

Date: 2012-02-10 10:11 pm (UTC)And I get the feeling about the Fire. I've had the same feeling about the iPad for awhile now. Honestly, I really have no use for one. I do all my school work on a little netbook (so I don't kill my back carrying it around at school) and I've got a regular sized laptop for home. iPads are no good for note taking anyway.
But still...they look like so much fun.:)
