Saturday morning bits
Apr. 2nd, 2005 08:09 amFirst of all, I must report on HomeDecorators.Com. Sheri suggested that I try their online chat. Which I did. Megan hopped right on and apologized saying their order status function was broken. They should at least mention that on the page but whatever. She did have my order info so all is good. This morning I got another tracking number (for the loveseat) and it appears to be coming on the same truck as the dresser. That's a nice bit of coordination - since I did not order them at the same time or on the same day. April 8.
More about the loveseat later today, I promise. I will be updating the makeover page and the details will be there along with a picture of the carpet we selected. Redecorating things are happening. Finally. Yes, they are.
Today's job is to clear the walls. Take down the pictures. Unscrew a basizllion shelves. Take down more pictures. Take the shelves out of at least one of the closets. I am running out of boxes and stuff to put stuff in and places to put stuff.
It's pledge week again at NPR so I will be doing the work to silence. I cannot abide hearing my Saturday morning favorites doing their horrible pimping work. If they did it cleverly or well, I could maybe stand it. But they suck at it. All of them. The radio will stay off.
I need to run to Home Depot and check out indoor/outdoor carpeting for the terrace. Sherry and Lee (my neighbors) have some nice stuff and Lee says they got it there.
And there is a Mariner game on TV at 1. Last night they played the Cubs in an exhibition game in Las Vegas. I cannot get used to Nomar Garciapara playing for the Cubs but that's my issue, not his. His baby brother, Michael, is on a Mariner farm team and was at the game last night. Story book. 10th inning 4-4 tie. Michael gets his first at bat for the Mariners and drives in the winning run while Nomar watches on.
I'm so happy to have baseball back.
