Living room update schedule!!

An email from the designer this morning says that we're penciling in the week of March 12th for the happening!!!

This means it will probably be the week of the 20th or so but most probably March. Yeah!!

So... Now I have to absolutely get the desk and credenza M T!

The credenza is half done. I was actually working on it when the email came in. I found a bunch of old shit. All the stuff from my Mom's last 6 years - to the trash. But, also the birth certificates of both parents and my father's army discharge papers and my the registration card that my grandmother was forced to carry at all times when they took away her US Citizenship (due to marrying that enemy German - my adorable grandfather). Plus some other cool shit. I am keeping only the coolest old shit. I'm hoping to keep that pile under 3 inches.

So working back from March 12 (just in case):

This week: finish the credenza.
Next week: do the desk
Week of March 5: everything gone (into fish room) except the actual computer hardware which I'll leave until the last minute.

All of that is cool old shit. I have no idea how to narrow that stuff down. As of right now, most of the cool old shit I will get one day is with my parents.

Your family (and you) seem to have heaps of interesting tales. You should share some more of them :)

And yea for scheduling!

I was thinking I'd scan in some of the most interesting bits and write about them.

It's so hard to know which of the cool shit to let go and which to keep. If you keep it all the really good stuff gets lost in the pile.
