Every day when I come home from the pool, I have to work around a half dozen cyclists who wouldn't know a road rule if it slapped them in the face. They ride the streets like they're goal is to get hit by a car.
Today I actually spied one of them behaving courteously. He's a freak - probably visiting from the countryside somewhere.
When I one day hit one of these idiots, it will be an accident but, honestly, deep in my mind, it really won't be.

I feel that way here. It's rural NC and you know what that is like. Lots of roads with blind curves, high speed limits and no bike lanes. They consistently ride half way into the lane. And sure, technically you should have the right away...in theory. But how much good is that right away going to do you when you're dead?! Have a little self preservation and realize that the car coming around the bend at 60+ miles an hour isn't going to see you until it's too late!

And if there are a line of cars behind you and your gaggle of cyclists, perhaps it would be nice to group up instead of taking up the whole road. It's 55 through here for a reason. Most of us don't have an extra 20 minutes to spare to get where ever we're going.

There's a lot of that down here, too. Their mindset to me must be stupidity, rudeness, and a death wish.
