Ok, I can brush my teeth now. And I know many of you are relieved. Seriously, the ice and the not doing what I was doing both apparently helped. The arm is still sore when I straighten it or grip something hard, but when it's doing other stuff (like typing this) it doesn't hurt at all. I think chances are pretty good the thing will not snap off and I will live.

But, I do not intend to damage it further. In addition to the shelves, the wire things - shelves and stuff - needs to come out of my three closets. They require one of those square screwdriver heads (allen?) which I do not have and I'm not even sure if I can get one for my screwdriver. So I gave up and sent a note to Sheri asking if she knew of someone we could hire to come finish up everything. She's on the case. She says she needs to find someone anyway to install the new closet system.

The Mariners are up by 1 and I think I'll go test out the arm with the knitting needles...

Thanks. All three pieces came from the same place and I'm so hoping their quality is acceptable because that same place has lots more stuff I want and it's very reasonably priced and quick to get!

The colors are very good. I suspect on many people they will actually have a soothing effect.

This makeover strikes me as being incredibly trendy and not classic at all. The colors are very now, especially the lime green, the furinture is also very 90s/00s in its neo-Memphisness. It's going to be a wonderful document of what is going on color- and shape-wise in interior design right now, devoid of looking back or forward. Very anchored, very period. With every year it will seem more grounded in this time.

Tha carpet is genius from the hairball-angle.

And yep, I told Jake today that he only has a few more weeks to hauk up visible hairballs. I'm a little worried about how I'll know when it's time to vacuum.

Thanks! And yes, finding Sheri was the key ingredient. She's a wonder. Keep your fingers crossed about the furniture. It was so inexpensive, that we are both a little afraid of what the quality is like but they are fun to look at!

How are your cats holding up with all that decorating going on?

The cats are pretty cool. They were quite busy after most of the furniture left - exploring all the newly exposed places but now they are just kind of cool about it all. Of course, their favorite place is the couch which is going to be gone... that's going to be interesting...
