It was a Chef Anita cooking day - my fridge and freezer both look so beautifully stocked.

Work was rather minimal but there was enough to keep me busy until time to go swim. Swimming was great. There is a couple who usually come to every class. They are in their 50's. She used to come and then he started joining her. Then, two weeks ago, she had her hip replaced. He's still coming which I think is great and he fills us in with the latest hip report which is fun. Several of the regulars were missing today but we still had a good group.

But, I had to leave early to get home for my conference call which was horribly long. And while the audio is never great, today it was like Charlie Brown's teacher. I hope they didn't say anything I needed to hear.

And before it was over, Chef Anita was done and gone.

On the way back from swimming my phone told me there was a G+ from my brother. He says my cam is down! I turn into a blonde anytime an IP address is involved. I kind of almost a little bit sometimes get it but mostly am just so grateful that my router works and sends and receives. If I have to do any thing to it or about it, I usually fuck it up 3 times before I finally get it right. Today I only fucked it up one time.

I have a Drop Cam camera on order. I am going to give it a try for possibly a different or additional/better angle. It's been on order for a while since the cameras have been on back order for months. The current thot is that it will ship at the end of March. We'll see.

The cats have both been beyond needy today. Travis always has to have my attention but today Betty is also all over me, my hands, my keyboard. I do not know what the deal is. They are going to go nuts next week with an electrician crawling through the ceiling and hammering and stuff going on.

I just saw that the Rosie O'Donnell show is moving from Chicago to New York and that more than me and the other three people are now watching it.

I have what seems like a dozen things flinging around in my head and I'm not even sure what all of them are. It's a scattered day.

"a dozen things flinging around in my head and I'm not even sure what all of them are"

Yup, I can relate.

One of my customer/friends is named Dave. He's a retired union carpenter. His body is used as a result. Spent like spare change, as a songwriter said. It comes with the territory. They know the benefits will be there when the time comes, so they don't balk when the injuries pile up. So Dave moves slowly, but up to fairly recently his wife moved more slowly. A congenital hip deformity hampered her until she had to have a hip replacement. As luck would have it, it got scheduled for February 14. Yup, he gave her a new hip for Valentine's Day. I've asked for updates and gotten them. I love being a witness to other people's caring relationships, you know?

I get the impression that Dave feels likewise. He tells me he tells her I ask about her. I think (most) guys have trouble finding a way to share this stuff with strangers. Or anybody, for that matter. Dave, too, is cute about it. He's (ha ha ha ha ha) the customer who, one day recently ran a grocery cart into me as I sat on the floor of my store, cleaning equipment. He did this as a joke, even though he's a little past the age where such things are common behavior. Did I say a little? Oh yeah, more like completely. But some people are so endearing in their quirks, I grant them grace. Dave is one such person.
