Silly kitty putty

Apparently some time today, Jake got up on the card table that is my temporary computer desk and put his leg right into a mound of silly putty. You know that part between his 'knee' and his paw? A giant blob of silly putty. I pulled a lot of it away but there was a good amount left so I got out the sissors. He wasn't thrilled but went along until I nicked him with the sissors.

He immediately lost all interest in my further participation. I had gotten most of it. He will, I'm sure, eat the rest off eventually. He's licking the bejesus out of his leg now.

I've had silly putty sitting on my desk, near my keyboard, for more than year now. I guess he's lucky he never 'met' it before. There were two blobs - one gold and one green. He passed on the green one and went for the gold.

Author Laurie Notaro had a chapter in one of her books about her cat (maybe dog, I can't remember) who wasn't long for this world. She knew this because of the tumor on the cat's butt. She freaked out and checked it out and discovered the tumor smelled a lot like juicyfruit. The cat sat in gum.

I love silly putty. I always have some work silly putty (currently it's the purple that turns violet when warm) and some at home (was gold and green). My stash is packed away somewhere. Oh, wait, I know where. Ok, so now the home silly putty is silver.... and hidden from Jake.

I have Silly Putty on hand too . . the gold egg by my computer holds a blue blob with a gazillion silver sparkles. It's been so well used that it I drape it over my finger and it ooooooozes to the tabletop . . guess it's time to think about visit to www.sillyputty.com for a few new color ideas . . . did you know you can buy it in 5 pound blocks? Jake would have a heyday with that!
