The missing link
Mar. 15th, 2012 09:20 amWhy in the world tell someone you will be there between 8 and 8:30 and not show and not even call or text to explain or send new time??? I do not understand this at all. Not one bit.
The electrician and his helper - both of whom are very pleasant to be around and seem very good at what they do - said they would be here between 8 and 8:30. "Is 8 too early for you?" "Oh, no, 8 is fine." "Cool, ok, we'll be here then."
It's now 9:15 and not a word, a peep, a sign from anyone.
I get that some people (lots actually) mean "I intend to get there at xxx but probably won't come close as I always am late and don't give a shit how you feel about it." But, I sure wish they would learn to promise differently.
I wonder if they ever get pissed because people lie to them about being on time.
This is why I hate interior design changes. They are like root canals without Novocaine. The results are great but getting there could not be more painful.
