The Comcast guy just left here. I called because one (out of two) cable cards was not showing HBO, Showtime or Encore. He stood in front of the TV and made a phone call and fixed it in 4 minutes without touching anything but his phone.
But, then, he went for extra credit. He looked at my connections and declared most of them sub standard. He then proceeded to lop off the ends of most of my coax and replace the plugs with better ones. He even managed to eliminate one whole splitter and two cables (remnants of former equipment). Then he redid all three wall outlets.
Everything looks fine, works fine. I get all the channels I pay for on both TiVos and my internet speed is even a little better.
He then tested everything and was not happy with the results but the next step involves the cable box currently behind the locked door to the manager's office so he called to schedule a visit to do that next week.
Honestly, if the service had been any better or more thorough, we'd be talking happy ending and I'd be describing porn.
Thank you Comcast!!!!!
