Chef Anita helped me put together one of the dining room chairs and Neighbor Ann helped me with the other. The three of us agree they are perfect.

Yeah!!

Also Ann reminded me that the last time Seattle City Light cut off our electricity for the day, they said it would be 9-5 and it turned out, in reality to be from about 10:30-4. I can live with that. A week from today.

She (Ann) decided that she does want to order a refurbished Gen 1 wifi 16G wifi iPad. Of course, now, they are out. Crap. I wish I knew how often they updated their supply and if any are in the pipeline. I'm not sure where else to buy (that is totally completely trustworthy).

I forgot to call that other cataract doctor and cancel the appointment I have with him for next week. Tomorrow.

My job has changed a little and is now actually taking up more and more of my time. For a long time now, most days, I just had to be here and available and didn't have that much to do. But the pendulum is swinging the other way now... and there will be far more total heads down days. At least on the surface, I'm ok with that.

I am glad that the bulk of the redesign work is done and my house is mine again. No way could I have done the kind of work I need to do in the middle of the three ring circus that has been here.

Betty says it's dinner time and I need go to get the mail...

I wanted to peek in on your chairs but your webcam is still on the kitchen.

I thought I'd give you the update on my step-dad's lung issues. He spent 10 days in Denver at National Jewish Pulmonary Hospital. His lung function improved from under 40 percent to close to 70 percent. They said he doesn't have COPD and never did. He instead has asthma. They said he probably had a serious lung infection for the last year and that there is a strong correlation between lung infections and the development of asthma in adults. Everyone is breathing a big sigh of relief in my family. He doesn't even have to go back to a lung doctor they said a gp can manage the asthma.

:) I have a first gen ipad that I'm looking to sell, but it's a beefier machine than she wants and that is lower than I want to go. Didn't hurt to ask, though; thanks for the info!

Are the first gen ones finally down that low? I'd been waiting for awhile for them to go down (hard to justify the cost with this many offspring *grin*) but they seemed to stay up there for the longest time.:)

Chef Anita helped you put together a chair - now I'm waiting to hear you say one of the construction workers / delivery men helped you put together a quiche.

apple updates their inventory at least 2x daily

when i'm looking for refurb equipment i look mid-morning and at about 1600.

smalldog in vermont is reputable but don't know if they can sell ipads to people who haven't bought from them before (their agreement with apple is complicated since they have retail stores and mail order).

powermax.com in oregon is reputable for apple equipment; dunno if they're in the refurb ipad business.

I checked out your moved webcam. I love how your interior is nice and dark, 'cause that means you will get the full and richest effects of the art glass from inside. I can't see your dining room chairs though.

Things are moving along here (allbeit slowly), and I will make a little update soon on my LJ. And, even though it's a few more weeks off, I will be sending you an e mail pretty soon, too, about instructions of things you'll need to know, prepare and get ready for.
