I am feeling so good about this whole project right now. I want to record this so that when I get frustrated, I can come back and read it and remember that it is good.

Turns out that Dinah the painter of my walls is also Dinah the muralist! And I want a mural painted in my nook that we are building in the front room - I am going to get her to paint me a window so my window seat will have a window!

Sheri found me the perfect bed yesterday. At a small local chain and they have them in stock and it's perfect. And she found the cutest little bench to sit at the end of the bed (for the laying out of tomorrow's clothes or the putting on of socks) and a very nice buffet/console/storage unit for the front hall.

I was not wild about the desk and the media stand and some of the other bits she found but we are getting closer and I am believing. Mostly, I am just so grateful to have Sheri. She is such a hard worker and so willing to do and try and figure stuff out. And I know now for certain that when she says 'oh we'll find the right thing' or 'oh, we'll figure it out in plenty of time', it will happen just like she says. I would never be able to do this without her.

Today is green. Dinah is doing the hallways, one of the bedroom walls, one of the walls in the front room, and I forget where else. Yesterday's purple is just beautiful. I can't wait to see what today's green looks like!

Aren't they beautiful? I like the ones in the children's section the best. I asked her yesterday how they happen - like does someone give her something to go by or ideas or what and she said all of the above.

So I'm thinking... I know I want a window but I don't know what I want the view out that window to be. Sheri suggested maybe the Seattle skyline with the space needle. I was thinking maybe mountain brook. Or maybe beach with ocean breeze billowing the 'curtains'???

I can't wait to talk to Dinah about it. I didn't mention to her yesterday because I wanted to get Sheri's take on it. Sheri thought it was a great idea so I'll talk to Dinah about it when I get home this aft.

Since you don't really get the snow you love in Seattle much, could you consider a Minnesota scene?

Imagine a view out the window on a snowy day that would make you happy. Would it be a cityscape? Fields and trees?

Here, at last, you can have the snow you miss!

You know, I did think about that but around here people only think mountains when they think snow. And I'm not sure I want a snow capped mountain sceen but a cityscape? Or a barn in the snow?

Hmmmmm now, wouldn't that be good?! I think I need to look through my snow pictures...

Excellent! And I just gathered up the best of my snow scenes that I use for computer wallpapers and threw in a couple of other ones. One nice thing about the Grandma Moses ones is that it shows you can have color with snow... Doesn't have to be all white and gray.

And then I had another entirely different thought... What about an aquarium??!! I could have beautiful tropical fish - even salt water fish - with no fuss no bother!

Have you considered a real window that is lighted from behind? I mean kind of a window box I guess. Always nice and has natural light. I believe you could still have a scene behind it.

I did not mean natural light, I mean the kind of light that is similar to natural light. Good for your moods.
