Tough Monday
Sep. 9th, 2002 06:23 pmSo today was a mess at work. Every time I'd get something going, I'd get interupted and have to move on to something else.
Then I had this big web permission problem that I could not figure out. After screwing around with it for about an hour, I accidently found out that one of the IT guys was messing with the server and pretty much undoing everything I was doing. Left hand - right hand - talk among yourselves??
My vendor for corporate logo'd stuff is trying to make me kill her. She's a bit of an airhead on a good day but lately there seems to be a gale blowing through. She can't seem to grasp email and I'm not about to exchange information with her over the phone where I got no paper trail. Not that the paper trail works very effectively... last week she explained to me in 4 different emails why she couldn't give me half-tone coverage on this one item. Today she asks me (same item) if I want a half tone of the mail color. Then last week I sent her several emails about a phone number change for some post-it notes. Today, three days late, she sends me artwork for approval - old phone number.
This weekend I discovered that my scheme for file backup (copying some critical files from my harddrive to a USB harddrive every night) had stopped working. I cranked it up again. That was on Saturday. On Sunday I learned about a sweet little quirk in Money 2003. Copying the file, apparently, just wipes out the content. Wonder how they 'sell' that as a feechur. It's not really a huge deal because most of the critical stuff is online and I just pull it down into Money. But, it is annoying.
And while I have not had more than a couple of drags off a cigarette in more than 2 weeks today I really really really want one. I read somewhere that somewhere around the 2 week mark, the nicotene should be out of your system. Well, I'm hear to tell you, my system wants more! Geesh.

It could not suck enough. Nothing but interruptions.
Hey I am so proud of you with your not smoking!
What willpower

And thanks for your encouragement on the cigarette front. I'm sure I'm not going to pick them up again but it's still an ongoing battle sometimes.
