A postcard surprise arrived in my mail yesterday... It was signed by my lime green shoes and showed them on Lombardi Street in San Francisco. hhhhhhhhhmmmmmm It appears that unzeugmatic had a fit of crafty before he left for his England trip! My scanner/printer is in the closet on the terrace blocked now by bags of yarn and clothes so I can't show you what that funny boy has done now, but trust me.

My postcard collection will not live where it has for the past 13 years. That has been on my mantle on two heavily laden picture trees. Sheri is not terribly impressed with my wanting to display my post card collection. I need them to be up and displayed in a manner that lets you easily pluck one, read the message or see who it's from and see the stamp and then put it back and pluck another.

She said the other day that she has a great idea for one place to put them. I've also got a great idea for another place. And some side ideas for in case she tries to duck the project. My postcards will live and breathe!!!

I got one from my friends Kieran and Alan on Tuesday - from Vancouver. The day before I had an email from Kieran inviting me over to dinner tonight. I can't wait to hear about the Vancouver adventures. I haven't seen them in a while and they are great cooks and I'm really looking forward to it.

I am bleeding cash from my Ameritrade account. Who killed the stock market and may I please have his head on a platter? This is not a good time for me to be donating money. I've got an ever increasingly expensive remodel going on while I stare down the nose of unemployment... Hello?!

On the up side, my arm is getting better and better. It's not quite all healed, but it is definitely on the mend. And today is Friday and I get to leave early.

he opened his mouth yesterday or the day before and we're all doomed now. among the things he said included the fact that the chinese would probably soon decouple the yuan from the us dollar because the dollar linkage would slow their economy down ... the rest of what he said was in a similar eye. i don't think anyone liked what he said.

Me, too. First I want to strangle Greenspan. Then string up the big oil company CEOs by their balls and beat them senseless. Throw W into a bubbling vat of oil, and Cheney along with him. No, I'm not mad at all.

My one and only Ameritrade account dwindled rapidly to zero, a couple years ago.
2k down the drain. I haven't invested in anything since, which seems wise for me right now.

On a happier note, flower hound (and needle worker) that I am, I love your 3 little crewel-embroidered flowers at the bottom of your post!
