Dog Library

Last night I dreamed I got accepted at the local dog library.  So that meant, I could check out a dog any time.  They were very happy to have me because I said I was more interested in checking out dogs to bring home during the week as opposed to the weekend.

Whacky, I know but really a brilliant idea.  I don't want a full time dog, but I'd love to have one once in a while for walking and playing.

There are volunteering and fostering dog programs that can accommodate that wish or dream. For cats and kittens as well.
Look around if you are interested.

Oh? Cool!!! I can't while I have two cats but when one goes, I will absolutely look into 'borrowing' dogs. Thanks.

We have ZipCar, why not ZipDog or ZipCat? When we have mice I've often thought that a cat for a few days would be a good idea.

Does your local animal shelter accept volunteer dog walkers? I know the SPCA here has volunteer dog walkers and volunteer kitty-petters.

Yes, but that's not what I was after. I wanted and may still want one day, a dog I can bring home here for a few days and then return.

I would LOVE to check out a dog at the library! I can't seem to commit to one full time but would love a walking buddy once in awhile
