I just registered for 2013 CESI!!Now, what hotel?...
I've stayed at the MGM Grand for the past two years but they pissed me off last year so I need a new hotel.  I think I want easy access to the monorail (or walking distance to the convention center) and decent wifi.
I'll probably go Monday and come home Thursday.
Suggestions, please!
Here's the list of top options:

A long time ago the pyramid was a nice place to stay, near the airport but far down the strip. If they haven't imploded it yet.

Bally's is right on the monorail line and pretty nice. Stayed there a few times. I am going to SEMA in November and will be staying at the Luxor. Not right on the monorail but walking distance to MGM and I like their corner pyramid rooms with BIG bathtubs.

I honestly don't remember. It has been a couple of years.

I do know that Paris (next door to Bally's) had decent wifi. It is a little higher cost and does not have it's own monorail station though. Avoid their buffet :P

If you want to save a few bucks you could also stay at the Flamingo. They have some upgraded rooms which are great and their pool is gorgeous. Just a nice clean casino and it is just across the street from the Bally's station. My usual hotel of choice is Flamingo just because it is very central on the strip. Directly across from Ceasar's Palace.

i used to go to Vegas A LOT. Now I got 1-2 times a year. If you have any questions about that crazy town feel free to shoot them to me.

in that case I suggest you stay off the strip. yes you give up the easy access to the monorail but you end up with a much nicer room and more amenities. I am trying to remember the name of this place that is there that is right near Flamingo but is more of a nice business hotel, not casino/hotel. As soon as it comes into my head I will let you know.

yeah pretty unheard of to find a place in Vegas that has free wifi, fridge, microwave, etc. I am going ot be putting this place on my radar for the future. Might even switch my SEMA reservation at Luxor to this since I will be there almost a week. Would be nice to have the extras
