I think catmomma may well have solved my hotel quest for CES.  She suggested the Clarion which looks like it ticks all my boxes and they have a senior discount!  I've sent them an email asking if some rooms/packages/placements have better wifi than others and, if so, how to snag those oh and is their pool open in January.  I'll be interested in hearing what they say but will likely stay there regardless.

I do remember, last year, seeing it an wondering if that might be an option.  And then, totally forgetting about it.  Let's hear it for new LJ friends!!!

I'm working on a work job now that is do 4 things, then wait while import imports  Do 4 more things then wait while import imports.  etc.  It's leaving me with some futzing around time.

I ended up switching my November room to them. It is going to save me about $300 mainly because the room taxes are so much less than the big strip hotels. Also, since it has a fridge and coffee maker I can at least eat breakfast in the room to save a few bucks and limit the junk food. Oh yeah and I will have HBO! Don't have that at home :)

Only downside is I went from a King bed to a queen and I lost my big bath tub. I think it will be more comfortable for the duration of time we will be staying there though.

I sure hope it's fabulous for you cause November is going to be way too late for me to book a room somewhere else.

Interesting about the savings. For CES, their rates are about $10 a night average more than MGM Grand Perfectly reasonable in by book, n fact I admire an enterprise that knows how to cash in!!
