I cancelled the hotspot service in my phone plan. My tests showed that the combo of pdanet and foxfi give me quicker connection and faster internet access on my PC even the free versions. I can't even find a pay version of foxfi.
For when I'm not in free wifi area, for emergencies - power and otherwise, for travel... I think I'm finally getting a good backup system setup here.
