Happy Holiday...

I got nothing 4th-ish on the schedule but I don't mind the holiday one bit.  It's got a nice - free to do whatever - feel to it.  So far, I've fiddled around on the computer.  Broken my bedroom reading glasses. Made myself a delicious breakfast.  Read a couple of interesting articles in Inc Magazine (to which I've lately become addicted).  Put crisp, clean sheets on the bed.  Made up a grocery list.

Not too bad....

Next up is brushing my teeth and cleaning up the kitchen and then probably a trip to Safeway and Trader Joe's and somewhere to get new bedroom readers.

The Mariners game is this afternoon.  I was going to go see a movie but I think maybe I'm going to put both of them on my 'see when the DVD comes out' list and just putter around here while the game is o

machupicchu just sent me a link about the ferris wheel having a light show tonight at 10 pm.  I'd love to see it but I revel in being in bed by 10 and I'm not sure I want to go wandering after dark on a holiday around the waterfront.  I should beg ljtourist for an invite as he can see it from his living room.

Now I think I'll get the rest of my chores done and head on out.

Ha! No, you can't quite see it because of That Building That I Hate. But I was off to Gasworks to see the fireworks in person.

I recall mentioning to you at brunch that I had been disappointed that they didn't do anything at all fancy with the lights on the ferris wheel. As you know, they have! Turns out that the lighting system wasn't fully operational when I saw it that first time, and it was boring and ugly. I'm so relieved they've turned it into something cool. Wish I could have seen it tonight!

I totally misunderstood you on a couple of counts... I thought you could see it from your place and at that you thought the lights - any lights - were junking up the view. Wrong and wrong.

Actually, when I was on it, I tried hard to see your building's windows and couldn't - that should have been my clue :)

I need to go find a video of last night's show... surely someone took a good one and will post it today. love the internets.
