susandennisI think he very much lived in the moment, when he didn't need to be planning. And I think the moments were good to him - because he was good to them, and because he was focused on what could be done, what he wanted to do, what he was doing.

kyrielle has an entry today that is a beautiful remembrance of her father-in-law. The above quote is from it. It is a sentiment I do not want to forget. I love anticipating upcoming events as much as the next guy. And I am eternally grateful for 60 years of marvelous memories. But missing a moment has always seemed so sad.
I want to make sure I notice every moment - I want to be kind to each so each will be kind to me.
