I'm making progress but this is hard work. I'm concentrating on the terrace. Everything out there is going to be tidily organized and placed in the house close to where it will live when it's furniture arrives. I'm still throwing out stuff.

I stopped to install my printer. I got a cheapo refurbished Lexmark printer/scanner. I have installed about 40 bluezillion of these over the years at work, here, at Mom's but this one wanted to give me fits and it did. The computer did not believe it was a printer. It kept telling me it was a USB Hub so it wouldn't install. I rebooted and unplugged and then unplugged all USB devices and rebooted and then uninstalled all USB devices and unplugged them and then rebooted and then the computer not only would not recognize the printer, it also know forgot about the usb hub in monitor which I use quite a lot.

Finally, I went to System Restore and restored back to last week. I was making progress so I rebooted a couple of times and waited and finally, the computer gave up and gave me both the printer and the monitor USB hub. I think it just got tired of playing with me. I know I was tired of it.

The bed is supposed to be here between 12:30 and 3:30. I could fix something for lunch and that would probably bring them. Or I could just go back to the terrace and keep working.

I think there should be a website where you could go and get percentages for rainouts. Too many backward towns do not have roofs. So when my ball team has to go to these outcrops of civilization, I should be able to go to a website and have it tell me what the chances are that the game will get rained out. Yeah, I'm talking to you, Boston. You got rain? Edit later: Apparently so... the Boston Red Sox website now says today's game will get paired with tomorrow's. Bummer.

Yeah, two games today. Assuming the weather behaves itself -- it's not raining at the moment, but there's a threat of at least drizzle right through to tomorrow morning. This will be the true test of the brand-new, better-draining field surface.

Actually, Boston generally only gets a couple of rainouts a year. They do play in some pretty unpleasant weather though, especially early in the season. We were lucky this year to have tickets to only one April game (for some reason we have a bunch in September), and our next game is the day game on Wednesday (when it's actually expected to be warm, incredibly enough).
