This morning was lovely and cloudy and cool. I picked up
zimzat and off to the pool we went. This week our timing was good. We got there a little early but not too early like last week. The class was excellent. My knee is more black and blue than before. I only see it when I'm in the pool and it looks ugly.
It's my left knee. I have a tendency to always sit on my left foot so my knee stays bent a lot and without solid blood flow. I'm going to make an effort to stop that - stop sitting on my foot. I'll try to either keep it straight or at a 90 degree at most - at least for a couple of days.
After swimming we went to a pancake house for breakfast and it was delicious and then errands. Cat food. Trader Joe's. UPS store. And then home.
There are a million thins going on in Seattle this weekend. A big food festival at Seattle Center. A giant festival in the international district and another in West Seattle. A block party in Capital Hill. Dire warnings on the news and in blogs warned of traffic tie ups and streets blocked off.
I mention this because driving around town this morning, I was struck by the amazing lack of traffic! Even over by the Seattle Center which is always a traffic mess and has lots of nearby construction and we could even *see* the food festival... traffic was easy peasy. Wild.
Soon, however, the sun came out and it is the International Susan Dennis symbol for Get Your Ass Home And Inside. Which I did.
I've just been piddling around, wrote my brunch review, took photos of all the cat food I bought (so I can give it a paw up or down and be ready for the next shopping trip.
I saw a fun new comedy on TV last night - Sullivan and Son. I had not expected to like it as well a I did. I saw the pilot last night and the next episode is on the TiVo. Nice little 30 minute escape.
The ballgame is on at 4 and a Chef Anita dinner is ready for heating and eating. Life is good.
