Sandwich for lunch and the bread did not tastes uggy!!!! I bought a banana to take home with me so I could have the banana and peanut butter sandwich I have been craving for since forever. A banana and peanut butter sandwich is just not feasible without bread.

But, even stranger than the spontaneously healing of my taste and smell buds is that my computer connection has also been healed. All of a sudden after days and days of struggling to get to websites, all of a sudden, I can do it! It's like someone pulled the crimp off the hose! I've got bytes just gushing at me!

I'm staring down the nose of an impending weekend and I'm totally ready.

One thing I need to do is vacuum. I was mystified - after years of living with a beige carpet - when you have a dark one, how do you know when you need to vacuum? Turns out, it's not so difficult!! I have kitty tumbleweed and little bits of styrofoam snow about. And the front room has become kind of a catch all. So... this weekend is arranging stuff, and getting the living room furniture organized and vacuuming. I think I can unpack a couple of boxes as well and maybe get the terrace so that it doesn't look like an earthquake recovery area.

Oh and the bathroom floor needs a good hand wash.

But first, tonight I have a massage with [livejournal.com profile] rev_hank. I first started the massages to fix my tendonitis. It is now pretty well fixed. Sometimes when I first get up in the mornings I can feel it fairly sharply but, honestly, after that... it feels fine. Just fine. I am still careful with it and will be for a while but for all of you that said it could be healed you were right. But, now I'm pretty addicted to [livejournal.com profile] rev_hank's massages! I've been going every other week but I think maybe I'll see if we can do it once a month now - it's just such a treat.

I am just a rambler today - reminds me of the Nash Rambler we had in the 50's - same time the song was popular. If you remember the song, you are way too old for LJ!!

Enough! Now I am just silly.

Are you talking about the song "Beep Beep"? If so, I'm 28 and I still know the song.

Granted, I know the song because of my mother, but still . . .

Well, maybe I am getting too old anyway -- I forgot I just had a birthday and am actually 29!

As for the song (http://www.oldielyrics.com/lyrics/the_playmates/beep_beep.html), it was released by The Playmates in 1958 -- when my mom was six years old.

I had to giggle at the mention of the Nash Rambler! My Dad was an AMC buyer until they went out of business. I remember we had one of those in the mid 50's. They looked so chubby and the tires looked like cartoons. Ours was yellow.

After I read your post, I did a google search and amused myself looking at the pictures of the cars and the advertisements they did for them. And I so wish they would bring back the Metropolitan! How cool would that be now? People would gobble them up, I'd bet. Even back then, they pushed them as being great mileage cars. :)
