Back to the pool!
Nov. 13th, 2012 10:11 amToday is swim class with my buds and I have big news for them. Mantrel, our favorite teacher who moved up the ladder and is now at the pool I go to on Saturdays, is having another baby. He has two little boys and sometime soon - maybe even already - he's having a little girl. He's the kind of guy who was born to be a daddy and especially a little girl's daddy. The class on Saturday was all the buzz cause he started his parental leave.
The class at my regular pool hasn't even heard a bit of it. I feel like I should gift wrap this oh so juicy tidbit!
---
I broke down and bought a Dyson Hot and Cool. It's a bladeless fan and also a space heater. Since I can't get an electric heater built into my fireplace (well, I can if I want to reconstruct the fireplace and spend a fortune, which I really don't), I've had my eye on this Dyson. The Dyson is perfect for what I want and looks oooh so sleek and sexy but is ohhhh so expensive. Next to the electric fireplace not so much but still.
Finally I snagged an Amazon Warehouse deal - slight dings on the base - 30% off. It should be here Thursday.
---
Nothing else much to report. Retirement is sure different. It's odd to just not have anything you have to do - day after day after day. I think I'm still feeling my way to what it will be. I do feel so lucky to have the option.

Date: 2012-11-13 11:58 pm (UTC)There are photos there... Not sure why you aren't seeing them. I've never had anyone say they couldn't see the photos.
Here's the round up of the past 1,400+ days worth:
