At night, before I go to bed, I open the door to the terrace. In the morning, first thing, I close it. This morning, I got my coffee and took it back to bed where I was happily computing when Betty all of a sudden RAN into the bedroom and POUNDED onto the bed and then run around and ran out and then back and then I saw it... a bird. In the house....

I got up and opened the door again so the bird could fly out. But, he/she didn't make it. The next think I knew, Betty was chewing on the carcass here in the bedroom! I tried to get her to drop it and ended up just chasing her to the kitchen - she would not let go. UGH. And EWWW.

Now she's back here in the bedroom resting.

I'm so sorry little bird. The city is a mean place. And, Betty - EWWW.

Happy Tuesday!

Betty's inner tiger was unleashed. funny how they go totally feral in a instant when a poor little critter enters the home. Or they do like mine and just stare at it.

my guys have not had a chance at a bird. I have the feeling they are much more enticing to instinct than mice, lizards etc. I have had a rat and a couple huge lizards in my house. (oh and a baby possum!). All of these were just stared at by my entire brood. Maybe they were just too big of game for them.

It was probably a House Sparrow. There are more than enough of them out there.
