I got got an email from my brother who had gotten a call from Polly and a call from 'the home'... Mom fell and hurt her hip and is in the emergency room at the hospital. Ugh. Polly is there with her. I so hope she does not have to be admitted. It took her nearly 8 months to recover from her last hospital trip. Poor thing. I know she's not happy.

I went out and ran all my errands and got back home and now I'm just trying to stay cool. So far so good. Plus I have food.

Oh and I ran into the mail carrier on my way in and he says that Starbucks executives have moved into the office building across the street. Don't they need a temporary secretary? I'm happy to make coffee. I told him I was probably done at Microsoft and we really needed to find me something in the 'hood... he said he'd spread the word.

Yep. This guy has had my route now for about 6 years. I first got chummy with him when I worked at the first startup. He's great - very chatty. KNows what's going on and shares. He doesn't really know what I do (other than websites) but he does know enough to tell me who's hiring and who's looking good. He's a gem.
