Day 1 nice

susandennisThe trip here was nice. I really like Southwest Airlines and today, they did not disappoint. My brother got in 15 minutes early - I didn't even have time to get my phone and computer recharged. It took about 45 minutes to get through the cab line and then another 30 to get to the hotel.
There was no mention of waiting until 3 pm check in time. We checked right in. We asked for a room near the elevator and we got the first room off the elevator on the 20th floor. It is a beautiful view. And it's beautiful hotel. We're at the Encore. I meant to get a room at the Wynn but screwed up and I think I'm glad I did. The Encore is closer to the convention center.
The pool is at the Wynn but we can use it. Tomorrow.
We had a wonderful Asian dinner and my brother is snoozing in front of the football game.
The room is luxurious. The Wifi is expensive but OHHHH so fast. Sprint has about 2 spits of a signal into this room which is really annoying. The Wifi is per 24 hours, per device. But, honestly, it's so so fast and dependable, I think I'm just going to mentally pretend the room is that much more expensive and very worth it. Tomorrow I think I'm going to buy it for my phone and then set it up as a hotspot for me and my brother to use. It will be worth a try. If it doesn't work, I'll just pay and be grateful for the option.
The concierge said that the convention center was too far to walk 'it's a mile or more!'??? We're going to give it a try tomorrow. If it's too far, we'll fall back on shuttles or cabs the rest of the time.
Now it's time to rest up for CES tomorrow!
