I am so exhausted and so sore and so sleepy.  My flight should start boarding in about 20 minutes.  My brother just got on his.  Our flights were at adjoining gates which was really nice.

Traffic in LV is murder and CES is making available cabs a rarity so we got up early early and ended up getting to the airport about 2 hours before we needed to but no biggie.  The only sacrifice was a good breakfast.  We had a mediocre one.  The food this trip has all been expensive and ranged from perfection at Roy's last night to the worst ever cheeseburger and fries and lemonade at CES yesterday.

It's 9 am now and all these Southwest gates are packed.  I'm in the A group for my flight #24 so I'm not stressed.  My feet are so so so sore.  When I get home, I'm going to bed and I may not get up for days.  Happily, I have nothing on my hit parade so I have the luxury of taking as much time as I want to recover.

And it was so worth it.  I had such a wonderful time with my brother.  And we already locked in next year.  Plus every year we get smarter about how to see what we see.  I am going to spend the next 12 months finding the perfect shoes.  The one I wore this year missed the mark - by a lot.

Right now I'm looking forward to some humid air for breathing - my nose is done with the desert.

My feet demand much TLC, and I went thru more pairs than I care to remember looking for something I could wear. A few years ago, I found Clarkes. They make both casual and dress shoes, so I always own more than one pair at a time. They just get better as they age. Not sure if you can get them in the US, but they sure are worth a try.

Have you ever tried crocs of any type? They have lots of styles to choose from and being a nurse will crappy, sore feet most of the time I am sensitive to what shoes i wear. New Balance used to have good shoes for me but like i said, my extra wide and sore feet had to move on to better/more comfortable shoes.

Maybe you could try them before next year and get your feet used to them, I wear mine with socks so your feet don't have to be cold. In fact when we went to NYC i wore them for walking around the city in 30 degree weather and my feet were warm as toast. Just a bit wet from stepping in puddles.

lol.
