And the shoe hunt is over. These are bigger than I really wanted but, I can wear them with and without socks, they are easy to get on and off, they are water resistant and not entirely butt ugly. And, it turns out, they were the cheapest of all the shoes I looked at! So, score!
I'll drop the last Zappos return box off at UPS on my way home from the pool this afternoon. done and done. yeah!

Hey! Merrell -- that's the brand of my pull-on boots that I loved so much. The ones I recently tried to have mended because they were falling apart and the guy at the shoe repair place said the tear was impossible to permanently/reliably fix. But, I did have them for several years, and I really loved them. The only things preventing me from replacing them now are that I can't find the same boot on their website, and the closest I can find is $150. And I bought the pair I had at Nordstrom Rack for something like $40. So, for now I just make do with the rubber rain boots I have. But, I really miss the Merrells.
