A real treat

Not only did I get to meet and visit with howeird, he bought me a delicious dinner of Orange Crispy Beef and Lobster in black bean sauce.

It was really a nice nice visit and fun to meet yet another LJ-er. He told me that when he first started his journal, he would only friend people he knew. I did not even meet anyone on my friends list until after my journal had been on the air for 5 or 6 years, I think.

I just went back through my email and found where he added me as a friend on January 2, 2007 after I had scooped him up in one of my searches looking for new friends.

It was just fun to meet him.  He did take two very good pictures of the two of us - proof it happened.  As soon as he gets them uploaded, I'll share.

I spent the afternoon doing much of nothing and made full use of my rescue inhaler.  Walking over to meet Howard was a bit of a pant but after dinner, walking him back to the bus tunnel, I was talking easily and got home with not very much panting at all.  I'm going to assume it is was a passing issue and is passing on by now.

I love meeting LJ people IRL. So far it's only happened with a couple of them but I have high hopes for the rest of you. :)
