I don't go to the pool website often but I happen to this morning to look up something.  They still had their Closed for President's Day sign up.

But when I got there, there were signs all over the doors saying the pool is closed!!  My friend, Madeline, and the front desk person, Beauchanon, were there chit chatting.  Mechanical failure.

I was crushed.  Madeline asked if i wanted to go get coffee instead so that's what we did.

Then I came home and took my suit off.  (I always suit up at home and then all I have to do when I get there is strip off my pants and top and I'm ready.)

I should take a shower and wash my hair since I would have done that after swimming - if the pool's still closed tomorrow, things could get stinky.

I like pizza a lot.  And it's one of the few foods that does not work well for single people.  The smallest delivery pizza is too big.  About once a year, I try the frozen single pizzas.  Every time, I remember, two chews into the first bite, how much like cardboard they taste.  This weekend I got a DiGirono's and a California Pizza.  I had teh California's just now.  Ugh.  Maybe the DiGirono's will be better.

I often look at people - particularly women - and wonder what else is in their closet... what options for what to wear were passed over for the outfit they have on today.

I dress like a man does - I almost always wear the top of the pile.  I pick the pants off the top of the stack.  Then, generally depending on the weather, I pick the top off the winter stack or the summer stack.

you dress like me, I pick the T shirt on the top of the stack and the jeans on the top. Most days I live in jeans and a T shirt, maybe a hoodie for good measure on a cooler day. I like to dress up from time to time for for regular day to day life, there is just no reason for it.

You can freeze left over pizza. Then reheating in a skillet is the best way to make it taste like fresh.

You may or may not like them, but - I love the frozen "french bread" pizzas which are, well, standard pizza toppings on a slice of french bread. I also will, when I feel up to the cheese, eat frozen pizzas, tho. So my taste in this arena is suspect.

I've found them to be pretty good, too, but I often spike them with some cheese and extra pepperoni. The best part is, they're not quite supposed to be pizza crust, so they're not disappointing. Even the "not bad for frozen pizza" pizza crusts are a disappointment.

Ok, you guys are 100% right. The french bread pizza is pretty decent. At least decent enough to keep in the freezer for pizza emergencies. I think you are right about the crust but also heating it in the oven and not the microwave I think helped, too.

Honestly most days I don't even bother changing out of pajamas, since I'm an under-employed freelancing sloth.

Otherwise it's: "What's clean? What's comfortable? What looks okay?"

I wish that I could offer advice for creative dressing, but my clothing store is Costco. I hate close shopping, so I choose the place with fewest choices. However, that said, my personal style drives those with the fashion gene insane and some have even threatened to drag me kicking and screaming into a haberdashery to get proper clothes. I did go into a men's store once and put myself into the hands of a senior staff member. I told him what affair I was going to attend and he tried things on me until he said it was good. Apparently he was correct because several people said that I looked so cosmopolitan, whatever in the hell that is supposed to mean. The moral is, if you can't or don't like picking it out yourself, find someone with tastes you appreciate and can trust take you to the store and dress you. Everyone needs a feel good, 'pretty' outfit or two. You will still live in what you prefer, but you will at least have something that you can put on, be fab-o and comfortable. Don't forget the pumps either.

On the pizza issue, get a pack of flour tortillas, a squeezie bottle of pizza sauce, a bag of shredded mozz and what ever else blows your skirt up and make your own. Just brush the flat disk with olive oil first. There are enough sizes of tortillas that you can find the one for you and it will be absolutely be fresh. You can use the leftover tortillas as a bread substitute, or freeze them for later.

Actually, I recently made sure to acquire a nice outfit - several actually - warm, cool, fancier so I'm ready if need be. But I promise you no fucking pumps :)

Pumps come in all flavors love, flats to sex killers. The idea is to have something with a little bling to accent the you that tries to stay hidden. Gawd, I'm starting to sound like the bitch on what not to wear. :) You have a lot going for you, just parade it every so often and don't allow yourself to get in your own way. Rah, Rah, Rah!

Personally I think banks and other institutions just look for reasons to take days off. I'm sure the workers at those institutions like having those extra holidays, but it's to the disadvantage of the general public. Sucks, doesn't it?
