I decided that leaving her to roam around all night was probably not a great idea.  So when she came out to check on the world, I grabbed her and put her into the bathroom (the only room I have with a door!).  She has food and water and litter and toys and a nice cozy carrier with a towel to snuggle into for a bed.  She's happy.  And not even trying to get out.

Betty is in the hallway watching to see what's going to happen next.

She is as alert and on top of the news as she has been in a long time.  It could go south, but so far, I think getting Zoe was a good thing.

KITTY! :-D

I think it's best to separate them for the night - Betty needs to adjust to the new world order, and Zoe probably would enjoy some safe contained time, without Betty hissing at her.
