Zoe outside
Mar. 15th, 2013 06:26 pmIt's a little warm here tonight so I opened up the door to the terrace. Zoe was on that new territory like Lewis and Clark. She sniffed around the whole thing and then hopped up on the ledge. If you lived here and care anything about animals, you would have had a heart attack.
I did when I first moved in and my cat Bubba did that - he leaned way out, just like Zoe. Scared the shit out of me. The first 12 times he did it, I rushed out to pull him down and then I realized that was not too practical. So I just trusted him to not fall off and he didn't and neither did Zoe. It's still scary to watch, I hope she loses interest . (My other cats have all been too skiddish to even try it.)
I guess I need to get her a tag with my phone number on it just in case. I think I have at least one in my cat collar box.
And I think, for now, I can put Zoe's food in the bathtub. I don't think Betty would even look there but Zoe won't let her close so I think that will work. She does not appear to be a big eater. I need to make sure she gets food. I may stop and pick up some dry food for her tomorrow.
My neighbor, Ann, came over and was sitting on the couch talking to me and the next thing we knew, Zoe had hopped up on the back of the couch and was loving against Ann's head. It was funny.
All else is good and fine.

Date: 2013-03-16 03:40 am (UTC)My 18 year old cat Bubba died and I was new to Seattle and did not want to get hung up by the pet nazis so I called my vet and asked them where was the least scariest place to find a cat to adopt.
They said well... they had a small kitty who needed a home. She had been brought in by passersby after being hit by a car and basically being road pizza. They fixed her up and she had just gotten well enough to leave when I called.
She was the sweetest funnest cat ever. She slept on my face and woke me up every morning by brushing her whiskers on my cheek.
She only lived about 5 more years but they were great years. Pizza was a great cat.
