Last night, when it was time to turn off the lights, I was in bed alone.  Betty has taken to sleeping in the living room at least at the start of the night.  When the lights went out, Zoe came in.  She snuggled herself under the covers and along my side with her head in my armpit and the next thing I knew, she had wrapped all four of her legs around my arm.  And was snoring softly.  I stayed awake a bit just wallowing in the nice of it.

Thanks for this, susandennis. This morning, I killed a kitten that had crawled under the hood of my car at some point overnight. I have been a wreck nearly ever since. Plus I had to call at least half a dozen agencies before I could get any help for the kitten -- and for me. Your post has made me feel better, susandennis. I'm glad your new Zoe is warm and happy in her new home.
