The new desk is in ... There are a couple of problems - like not having any access holes for cords on the side of the U where the monitor needs to be. So the keyboard drawer is in front of me and the monitor is off on my right. This is not going to work long term. But, generally, it is a good setup. Solid and a perfect color for the room.

John did not finish up until about 5 and then I had to move the computer and that was not as easy as it could have been. I should have been able just to plunk it down and save the pain until later but no. I had to unplug nearly everything and replug. The webcam software is still not happy about one of the webcams but I think most everything else is operational.

But it is unusually humid here today and I have worked up a sweat crawling all over this thing. And my living room is in disarray again. I think it's going to stay that way tonight. I need to find something to eat and wash my hands and clear a spot and a cat off the couch.

I remember some sawdust under someones desk for cable holes before, I guess that will happen again.

I dreamed about your desk last night. I have been on LJ too much, I think. I dreamed it took up your whole livingroom.

I have a big desk too. In this house, it has it's own office, which I love. I get more enjoyment from my computer than almost anything else I own. It also pays for itself, which is a real novelty.
