Oh my achin' back!

I'm done all done and I feel like I've been hit by a truck.  This morning, on the way to IKEA, I kind of felt like I was getting a cold. I'm sure it was my imagination.  Said imagination has been crushed by reality.  My feet hurt, my back hurts, my arms hurt.  But, the cold thing... gone.

In addition to the curtains, I got the litter thing I ordered from Petco and it's perfect.  I cleared away the old set up and vacuumed and installed the new - Jumbo litter box enclosed so they can't scatter the litter all over the living room. This thing also has room for spare litter, the scoop and bags to scoop the old into.  And it fits into my little alcove perfectly.



I am really liking the purple curtains, too.  They are highlighting the green on the walls and they are bringing out all the colors in my stained glass installation. And I got the length nailed perfectly! This photo does not show it perfectly but it grabs the gist.



A good day's work!!  Whew.

Out that terrace is a parking lot and across that parking lot is an old train station still in use today.  The poor thing has been redone a million times.  It seems like forever ago, they started to bring it back to its original glory and the work is nearly done.

There's an open house next week. I can't wait to see it.  These photos look amazing.  Next time howeird comes through, he'll think he landed in Oz!

Zoey is going nuts today. I guess it's all the action around. Ladders and new litter box and all kinds of stuff.  She's running around like crazy and when I stop and sit down, she's right up here for some nuzzling.  Betty's a little unsettled as well but I put her at ease with lunch.

Now it's time for me to do nothing.

The first 10+ years I live here, the walls were builder beige. Then I got smart!!

This is fabulous! All the color is working so well, down to the tiny planter or vase.
I am very seasonal..One thing by winter and fall and another by deep summer. (Deep winter=deep warm colors) Summer is a gradual preparation for 100 degrees. Very light and beige.
Anyway, your place looks terrific! I love the comparison.

Snazzy colors. I think the purple actually looks great with your green walls.

If the achy-ness continues and (God forbid) your neck should start to really hurt, please go get checked out ASAP. We are having a lot of meningitis scares, and it's deadly but treatable. The symptoms are flu like in nature (achy body parts and maybe some sniffling and sore throat) but the kicker is the neck pain and stiffness.

I can hardly believe you were considering beige or wheat color for your new curtains! The purple you got is excellent, in my opinion, and goes perfectly next to the lime green.

hehe very un-me! but it's what was there - the color that the designer picked originally was beige and it kind of blended into the terrace walls, etc. But, the purple is way better. And your purple fish LOVE it. And the white bubbles just sparkle even more than before.

They do! And I've only recently discovered this. I don't know what took me so long. I first got hooked on their refillable kitty litter. And then, of course, that's were I adopted Zoey. Their stores are lovely, their people are nice and their stuff is good The litter box ottoman is really genius.

I'm now a rabid Petco-er!!

I think I remember that train station, only not as clean. I wonder if they will put the heavy wooden pews back, there used to be row upon row of them, I think. I'm surprised they got that far this fast, start of February when I was there last it did not look like it would open before 2060.
