More of the same
Jun. 15th, 2005 08:57 amWe've got:
Wasn't Gaul divided into 4 parts? Can a find a more obscure or meaningless reference without googling? I think not.
1. Mom insists she is getting better every day. And to prove it today she asked me to talk to Theresa about getting her freedom - meaning getting rid of the sitters. She said she wasn't in a huge hurry but she would like for us to start thinking about when it will happen. Sounds very reasonable to me. I was impressed.
It has occurred to me, especially over the past few days, how marvelously lucky we are to be able to have sitters. To be able to pay for them without worry. To be able to get ones that are so kind and patient and caring. Even Mom said this morning - Mary was on duty. "Of course, I probably would like to keep Mary forever..." So maybe she's even being nicer to them.
treebreeze - I probably should warn you when to put on those headphones). One of the websites offers nothing but an email address. I'm guessing she gets a whole lotta business with no phone number and a dead email address.
But, the other one does have a phone number. They are obviously a Mom and Pop outfit located in Virginia. Mom answered the phone and asked in a very Virginian voice "Could you hold on just a sec, please". Then I got Pop and I started to speak and he said "Wait just a minute please." I heard him holler "HANG UP THAT EXTENSION! I CAN'T HEAR THIS CALL" And can't was ponounced caint. He sounded about 87. But, he was on top of it. He said he knew exactly what I wanted and he would place the order today and get it in early next week and it should take about 3 days to get to me.
I'm not counting on 'em until I have the wiggly eyes in my hands but, I now have hope. But,
dizzdvl, if you see any anywhere, and want to mess with it, I'll take all you can find, too. Until I can find a steady, reliable source for these things, I'm in major hording mode.
So... I was a bit surprised last night. I had the TV on live TV (not recorded) from about 4:45 until I turned it off about 9:15. I watched the local and national news and then the baseball game which was here in Seattle.
After I read a bit in bed, I turned on the TV in there to catch the 10 p.m. News and discover that there had been a serious tsunami warning in Seattle. Guess I am really out of the loop. So, if there really is a tsunami - that hits Seattle - you can pretty much guess that I went with the waves cause I got no warning... Which is just as well because had I been warned, I wouldn't have a clue what to do and so would have done just what I did... Finish the ballgame, read some, watch the 10p.m. news and gone to sleep.
So there.

Depends on whom you're saying divided it. Wasn't it into three parts by Caesar, four parts by Clovis?
