It is actually not as hot here as other parts of the country but relatively speaking, it's close.  Seattle isn't built for heat.  My building isn't built for heat.  My attitude isn't built for heat.

So, while on the thermometer, we're cool, it reality, we're hot.  And I don't mean that in a good way.

It's not too bad in here, though.  As long as I don't move around much or fast, it's actually pretty comfortable.  And, thankfully, sleepable.   Betty seems fairly unaffected but Zoey's taking on some new activities.  Last night, I woke up to find her on the bed snuggled next to me.  I don't know how long she was there but I enjoyed it.  She has only really done that once before.

I don't know where her hot weather hide out is.  I think it's either under this bed or under the orange chair in the living room.  I just haven't looked.  She comes out for meals and usually is on the ottoman during ballgames.

Everybody's eating just fine and pooping and peeing in appropriate places - including me -  so all's good.

The pool opens at noon and I plan to be there. I think I'll stop at the grocery on the way.  Cool, crisp, old fashioned chef salad seems a perfect anecdote to this weather.  There's a ballgame this afternoon and I need to set up and take the group bear picture.  Delivery day is coming up.

friends in other parts of the country don't get why I am complaining about the heat here in San Diego. Anything over 75 and I am one ticked off individual. Hit 90 I think yesterday. How bad is it up there?

I totally understand. In fact, I think I sympathize for you more because your area is not equipped to deal with it. In all the places I've lived, the extreme temperatures require the right cooling systems or people die. So ... here's my virtual A/C share *cools*.
