Yesterday about lunchtime, I caught a tweet from the local neighborhood blogger saying that a chorus of 250 people would be giving a concert in the park at 3:30.  It was kind of shady a little out so not Africa hot and I figured what the heck...

I got to the park just as things were beginning to start.  Two very shiny, peppy, young blondes in shirts that matched the bulk of everyone I could see, popped in front of me and said 'we're giving a concert in a few minutes, why don't you stay for it??!'  I smiled at them and allowed as how that's exactly why I was here.

The kids really were fun and some were really talented. There was dancing and singing a lot of both secular and Christian pop music.  It was nice and fun.  Just before the last song, a guy got up and explained that they were from Dallas and Jesus died for my sins, yadda, yadda, yadda.  I can take a little of that but this guy would not know subtle if it came down the track he was standing on.  And like a true Texas preacher, he would not shut up.  My ass was getting weary of the rock I was sitting on so I took it as a sign from God that it was time to move on.

I wandered the long way home, by the waterfall park, around by the newest restaurant in the 'hood which looks great and is open for early dinners.  Note to me... maybe even this evening!

Today I'm going to the pool at 11 and that's it for the plans.  I haven't decided what else is on the docket yet.
