Some things just seem unnecessarily difficult to me. And finding a clock radio that does what I want, is one of those things. I want one that is:
Stylish looking - black or silver would be fine
Good radio - a clear signal is not a given through the walls of my condo
Dual alarm - triple would be even better
Small footprint - I have limited night stand space
I don't need/want:
CD Player
Nature Sounds
Big numbers or gawdy LCD light
Major snooze button or function
And, after my latest experience, I need one that I can set with ease and operate efficiently.
I bought this one:![]() | It's very stylish and has a nicely small footprint. And it has a good radio. And it has a dual alarm. But, the DC Plug in the back keeps falling out. I finally had to duck tape it - nice style addition. The automatic shutoff doesn't. Setting the alarm time is relatively straight forward. Turning the alarm on and off requires a series of steps that must be executed in order and include a special prayer and standing on one foot. And the blue light is very very very blue. But, the contrast is not enough to even see the numbers. So it's going to the Goodwill if/when I find a replacement.. |
But, finding the next one is proving to be not so easy a task. There are a million or so different clock radios out there. Surely somewhere there's one for me...

Are we so difficult?
