Nice outing

I did head out to walk/lunch.  It was raining but just hard enough to discourage crowds so perfect for me.  My neighborhood has a lot of brick sidewalks and streets.  My crocs think they are ice skates when they hit wet brick.  Not that cool, actually.  But, I did ok.

It's getting more and more difficult for me to walk and breathe.  Plus, I worry about falling and then today, I had a shoulder bag and it was too heavy for my shoulder and I started worry about what a hurt shoulder would do to my swimming.  UGH. But I think a backpack will fix that problem or just putting money, tissues and keys in my pocket - even better.  It was still a little too warm and way muggy so I think cooler might be better, too.   I also tend to walk too fast for my lungs.  If I slow down and stroll at old lady speed, I do better. It's just hard to remember until I'm panting.

I got a tat'strami and was wise enough to stop at half.  Perfect and I brought the other half home.  Then I stopped by Grand Central Bakery who, this morning, tweeted that if I mentioned the tweet, I'd get a free cookie.  Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, please.  Thank you very much.  Then on to my Real Change guy who told me that the Goodwill shop over on 6th was more fun that the one I like.  I told him I'd give it a try.  And I bought a paper from him.  I stopped at the ATM and waived at Rosie who was at the front desk of the gym and sitting right by the picture window as I passed.

A good outing.  Home now and it's way warmer and the sun is coming out so my timing was also excellent.

Now I'm on load #2 on laundry.  All is good.

I'm all for backpack, even a small one. Better for weight distribution (over two shoulders -- obviously not the case if one-strapping it like the cool kids).

Just one suggestion: When you walk if you decide not to take the backpack, be sure to have some kind of ID on you and someone to contact for emergencies.

I remember when we traveled all the time, I worried how anyone would ever find one of us if one of us got hurt or sick away from the RV. Now that I am older, I think of more things like that, I used to be fearless, lol.
