Enjoying while it lasts

susandennisAbout 2 years ago, a guy who lives upstairs wanted to switch his parking place on the ground level to a bigger one downstairs. Mine was one of the bigger ones so I said 'sure'. He was delighted and so was I. His space means no steps and is near the dumpsters so taking out the trash was handy. I've enjoyed using it for these past two years. Yesterday I ran into him and he sold his big car and was going to try and rent the parking space. He asked me how I felt about it and I said I'd like to keep the main floor space but I could be had either way. So he's going to offer his parking space renter a choice - small space upstairs or big space downstairs.
I thought about possibly offering him cash for a permanent swap and then decided that I really don't care. The downstairs spot is bigger and fine. If I ever get to the point where I can't go up and down the 20 stairs, I'll have to figure out a solution but I'll deal with that when the time comes. Plus, this guy is kind of twitchy. I'm not sure I want to get into the legal deal a permanent swap would entail. So I'll just deal with the deal if/when the deal happens.

Their is some kind of pep rally going on outside for the Seahawks. I suspect it's for one of the morning TV shows. I can just hear the noise. The stupid tree is blocking in view. I'm counting the days til all those stupid leaves are gone. RSN* as we used to say in developer land when asked when the next build will be ready...
The soccer team has a game this evening and, in the same stadium, the Seahawks have a game at 5 on Sunday. The local news is making a Big Fucking Deal out of both the Seahawks game and that the stadium will be so busy. Both deals are lost on me. They are going to have a fireworks show at halftime on Sunday that I will be able to see easily and that will be fun. It won't be dark enough really but whatever.
It is supposed to rain Sunday night. Today is supposed to be warm but last night was deliciously cool. It was the first night I've slept with the air conditioner off and it was wonderful.

I got a disturbing email this morning from Google. It said that suspicious activity has caused them to suspend my Google wallet account. I had to fill in this form and send them a photo of my drivers license (or other government issued) and a bank statement (or a bill showing address). It looked very scammy but the URL pointed to correct place and when I searched on the subject, I discovered that it's a real thing so I submitted. The form and resulting email said it would take 3 or 4 days. In the meantime no buying anything from Google. Happily, I wasn't planning to.

My hair is now so blonde that my neighbor asked me where I had it done. The pool for an hour every day = cheap dye job.

I was thinking of maybe taking in a movie this afternoon but the jury is still out on the decision.

Date: 2013-09-13 05:22 pm (UTC)I've seen folks who swim daily and have their hair colored turn blonde then light green:) I bet you would rock it! :) Katherine Hepburn traveled in a play many years ago that I saw in Houston. In it, she had bright green hair. When asked, her character replied, "I am weary of all the earthly colors." LOl!
