This is why I needed tags
Jun. 29th, 2005 12:39 pmI do 'get' the whole tag thing, I just don't care. I quit using moods a while back and I never used music... I'm just a slacker LJer. But, just now, I realized a good tag use.
How many times have I written entries whining, bitching, moaning, and carrying on about Sheri not meeting deadlines, not giving me deadlines, not appearing to care if we ever got my condo redone in my lifetime??!! How many entries? I'll be close to a sckillion. But, I don't use tags, so we're going to have to live with my estimate.
Now I have one one but TWO instances - in one day - of a major trend reversal.
First the fish. She and Dinah scoped out the mural real estate yesterday and came up with a plan and got me a quote (which I approved) and Dinah is going to start work on the mural of tropical fish for over the window seat on TUESDAY!!!!! One dancing hamster coming right up.
Plus, the wall shelves. It took me for freakin' ever to get her to give me an installation date. Finally she did - three dates and I was so pissed. There are three panels of shelves down the hallway. The first was scheduled for installation on July 9. The second one in later July and the third one in the middle of fucking August! After I got over being pissed about having to wait, I realized how glad I was that I had made her commit or it would probably be next Valentines Day before the things got installed!
Anyway, today she sends email that John (the handy-man, shelf builder/installer) wants to come Sunday to deliver the goods and he'll install them on Tuesday! Isn't that a delightful change of events?!
And, so we get another dancing hamster.

Date: 2005-06-29 08:08 pm (UTC)The shelves are going down the hall - floor to ceiling - purple. They are being built to fit in between the dark green post/pillar things you can see in this picture.
When he finishes installing all of them, he's going to come back and add some little cubbies to the final design. I'm not entire clear on what they will look like but so far Sheri's been right about everything so I'm just trusting...
