Zoey in winter
Sep. 29th, 2013 08:47 amOn most nights since since it got chilly, Zoey comes in while I am listening to my audiobook before I go to sleep. She burrows under the comforter. When it's time to turn out the lights, I pick her up and move her up towards my head and throw the comforter over her. She snuggles in next to me and stays there - even when I get up to pee and crawl back in. It's the most delicious way to sleep.
The wind and rain that started yesterday afternoon is still whipping itself into a frenzy. I've rarely seen it quite as wild and for sure not for this long. It's actually kind of nice. However, there are still lots of leaves on The Tree That I Hate. Not as many as this time yesterday but I'd so love to have them all gone. Another apartment that I can see from my terrace got occupants so I have stuff I need to watch leaflessly!
This morning I'm going to the new pool. This is one, south of here, that is a city pool that they recently completely tore down and rebuilt from scratch. It's about 20-30 minutes from here so not an every day thing, but on it very well could become my Sunday pool. Today, it does not open until 12:30 but there is no football game today and the soccer game isn't until tonight so I can pretty much come and go when I want until about 4ish.
Today is also the last Mariner game. I am glad the season is over. I'm not sure I can get into the playoffs. But, I could be wrong there. So many former Mariner players and favorites are now on other teams that maybe I could enjoy seeing them play on winning teams for a change. We'll see.
The green chair is getting full so I may take the bear photo today... Tuesday is delivery day.

Date: 2013-09-30 03:42 pm (UTC)We, of course, don't have that problem, but I think that in broader terms the story of the Pirates is pretty interesting, and a Mariners fan might take the 2013 Pirates as a hopeful sign.
