$2,500. And I'll be lucky if the dental insurance will cover even the $500. Oh well. Like the condo refurb, it's my sister's inheritance. Thinking of it this way makes the money far easier to spend.

Have you thought about getting a cost estimate from Plan B, too? I know some dentist told my sister she needed some insane gum cleaning and she came to my dentist and she really didn't.

Then again it might be worth it if it is all done with.

Hehehe I understand. I went a decade before going back to the dentist because I was askeeredykat.

This is where it pays to live in Rural America!!!

When I first started, I still lived in Destin but my dentist (due to a referral) was here where I live, about 45 miles.

For a years worth of work I have probably spent about what you are paying for this. If I went to a Destin Dentist, it would have cost me 4 times as much.

I feel I got excellent care, too.

I don't shop dentists either. I have a good one and if he charges a lot it's because he is so damned good. He has also been great about letting me pay things off over time, given that I don't have any kind of insurance.

Anyway, dental insurance doesn't do much. As you've discovered.

I feel investments in our teeth are SO worth it! And yes, I have the right to talk about that! I am still paying off my implants.

I don't know anyone who has more of a right to talk about any kind of dental stuff than you do!

I remember back when you were getting all your stuff done. I could barely read some of the entries. And that was before I even understood what dental implants were. Now I am even more impressed.

And I'm also very glad to hear you say that your feel it is worth it. You went through so much.

Oddly, I still don't feel I went through so much. It was uncomfortable at times but I was and am grateful that I was able to get it done at all, to manage through credit cards and other means. I feel lucky! I also feel these are implants that will be with me way past my need for them.
