swim knit baseball tv
Oct. 8th, 2013 09:03 amTurns out that I am getting somewhat invested in the baseball playoffs. If/when Detroit and Pittsburgh get eliminated my interest could wane considerably but so far... The game day application on the MLB website is helping tremendously. I can 'watch' the game while watching other TV and/or doing other stuff. When the commentators get annoying I can just mute the TV and still get all the info. It's kind of brilliant. Yesterday there were three games in one day. It was just lovely.
Also turns out that I added a zero in the wrong place in my health care application. So I got rejected for having too much income. I don't blame them a bit. If I made that much, I'd reject me too. The fix was easy. I think it's fine but I am glad I have the appointment with the insurance guy.
Sleeping is so nice when the weather is not hot. Because I have a major water drinker during the day, I routinely get up a couple of times during the night to pee. I love the delicious feeling of getting back into a warm bed and burrowing myself under the covers to go back to sleep. It's totally worth getting woken up for.
Totally coincidentally over the past couple of days I've been quizzed about being/living single/alone. One question I was asked yesterday was 'What is the benefit that people who live with other people would undervalue about living alone?' My answer is peace. It is supremely peaceful. I'd never really thought about that before and it is very true.
Today the pool opens at 11. I need to make a quick grocery stop probably on the way but that's about it. There is baseball at 3 and 5 pm. Another peaceful day.

I've lived alone most of my life. I can't say my life sharing a home is peaceful, but I do find it comforting.

Date: 2013-10-09 04:06 pm (UTC)If by some disaster the Red Sox don't make the World Series, I will root for Detroit or Pittsburgh. If neither of them makes it, I probably won't care who wins. If they both make it, I have no idea how I will root.
