Wrong mail?

I rarely get any mail that is addressed to my isp email address. susan at drizzle.com If I get any mail via that account, it's generally addressed to me at susandennis.com. Plus all of that mail goes through spamarrest and if the sender isn't on my whitelist, they have to verify themselves.

So while it's possible to get email to me through that account, it just ain't that easy. When the occasional bit comes down that pike, I don't blow it off as junk.

Today I got the following:

Hey you two - greetings from a tiny internet access place in Lanzarote!
I have homework but not enough euros to type in in :-)
Back to US end of next week. bye!

It was from a guy named John Kennedy at a Microsoft email address. And it was addressed to susan at drizzle.com plus someone else at a Microsoft email address. (I do have spamarrest set up to accept any email from the Microsoft domain.) There is a woman in town who, I believe, does contracting work at various places who has the account of susant at drizzle.com. I've gotten her mail before. She's not too friendly but has occasionally thanked me for forwarding them to her.

I suspect John was trying to send to her. But, anyway, I looked up old John and discovered that he works in this building just one floor up in roughly the same organization! Then I looked up Lanzarote. I'd never heard of it before. It looks very interesting.

All in all a fairly fascinating piece of misdirected mail!
