Happy 4th

Everyone in Seattle who loves hot, sunny 4ths will be really happy today. I'm still waffling about the air conditioner. The 10 day forecast says I can hold off until next weekend at least but the sun is baking this living room this morning. While I appreciate the cool, I hate the noise of it and it looks ugly. I think I'll wait until this afternoon to decide.

The new tv is really great. I cannot believe how much bigger the picture is. I can now sit in my chair and read the numbers on that teensy weensy little graphic at the top of the screen during the baseball game! Today's game is at 4 and I can watch it without screwing up any Tivo recording. Then flip to the news between innings. Fun.

I'm doing laundry and that may be it for the chores. If it cools off some, I might tackle the kitchen - it needs a good scrub down, but it's too hot right now.

I have two Netflix movies that may get to try out the new tv today. This time next week, I'll be dentist-3 hours. I probably would be better served by concentrating on something else for a week.

I don't expect to be seeing any fireworks. They start so late here that every year I think this is the year I'll stay up and watch, I end up going to sleep. I can hear them from bed and that's enough. Really.

I am telling you that your trip to the dentist will be so much better than you think. I think you have already crossed the major hurdle which was getting there the first time. That was the biggest hurdle for me. I conjured up all kinds of things I thought were wrong.

You will do fine. And I know, believe me.

Next-the A/C that is a permanent install and not obrusive.

Why fight it, go for the luxury, grab the AC and set the clock back to february, I don't know if I'll bother with the fireworks either, I can see a display most weekends that the 'A's or the Giants play at home.

No fuss, no muss....and you can choose your viewing time!

And you can even see them in the sky above a baseball game:

And I hope that Wednesday's BP check calms at least a bit of your fear for next week.
