Dry dock tomorrow
Nov. 16th, 2013 06:41 pmThere is a Seahawks game here tomorrow and after today's hijinks, I'm thinking I'm not going to fight it. I'm going to stay home and skip the swim.
I keep breaking the skin where I banged my wrist today. I can't use a bandaid because I'd never be able to get it off without tearing the skin around it but, finally, I got wise and found so of that stretchy wrap. So now it's safely ensconced with some antibiotic ointment. I'm sure it's going to take weeks to heal - ugh.
I reconciled all my finances this afternoon - keeping them all in my tidy ocd-ish spreadsheet. Note to self: quit spending money!! Note back: Shut up! You can't take it with you. And the beat goes on.
I've decided to keep the new phone and sell the old. I'm not 100% convinced it's the smartest thing to do but at least 65-75%. Tomorrow, I'll wipe out the old one and package it up for mailing to Gazelle on Monday.
I got all the Amazon gift cards and they are very nice and do have the amount printed on them. Whew. It's going to take a week to get them all distributed since some of the people I only see once a week. I think I'm going to start right after Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll get going on the notes tomorrow.
Now I have some TiVo to clean up and a bear to finish off!

Date: 2013-11-17 05:05 pm (UTC)In any event, your 9-1 team is favored over our 2-7 team... which means the Vikes have a chance. They often lose games in which they're heavily favored and win games in which they're heavy underdogs. Go fig.
Sorry about your wrist. Yeah, an Ace Bandage is generically useful.

Date: 2013-11-17 05:12 pm (UTC)My living room is bound by a covered terrace (about 6 feet wide) which is open and overlooks the ally/street. Just across that street is the stadium. So even with the doors closed, I can hear the action pretty well :)
Now that you've given me a broader perspective, I'll be listening to the crowd noise differently today!!

Date: 2013-11-17 06:51 pm (UTC)The Vikings don't want to move, but got a new stadium, so this year will be the last at the Metrodome. They'll play in the new Gophers (U of MN) football stadium for a couple of years. There's still political wrangling about cost and who pays what, but the new stadium should be pretty good.
But I digress.
